Fuze HR is proud to partner with a leading technology and electrical service provider to support growth across multiple states. We are hiring an experienced Low Voltage Service Technician in Columbus.
As a Low Voltage Service Technician, you will:
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain various cabling infrastructures
Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete wall and limited conduit work
Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations
Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
Conduct tests to ensure newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoot issues with the cable network
Job Requirements include:
Corning Unicam termination experience or at a minimum, the ability to do fusion splicing and have good troubleshooting skills on fiber
Experience in low voltage cabling, smart hands network replacement, telephony, CTV, and point-of-sale equipment is a plus
Ability to consistently travel: regional travel within 2 to 4 hours radius is required daily and travel beyond 4 hours will be required occasionally and may require hotel stays
Travel away from home may be necessary, typically not exceeding 1-2 weeks in duration
Industry-specific certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning) are a huge plus
Ability to work in cramped spaces
Ability to operate a boom or scissor lift and ability to work at heights
Posses basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation
Must have knowledge of cabling infrastructure
Experience in conduit installation is a plus
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years
Job Schedule Availability Requirements:
Duration and hours will vary: 0-4 hours some days and 10-14 hours others. Shifts can be in the early morning, nights, and weekends depending on days shifts could be 10-14 hours.
Pay rate: $20-30/hr. depending on experience
