Senior Project Manager

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI) is seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to lead Agile delivery teams supporting a portfolio of mission-critical software development initiatives for a Federal Government customer. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the programmatic, financial, personnel, and reporting aspects of 1–3 Agile software development teams (approximately 6 team members per team). This role serves as the primary interface with government stakeholders while ensuring the successful delivery of complex IT initiatives in a federal environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between government clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and high-quality service delivery

Lead and support complex Agile development efforts across functional, technical, and policy domains

Define project scope, phases, deliverables, milestones, and evaluation criteria

Develop and implement tools and processes to track project performance, workflows, and deliverables

Monitor project assignments, timelines, and government deliverables to ensure accountability and adherence to schedules

Coordinate logistics and technology for meetings, including stakeholder engagement sessions

Respond promptly to team and client inquiries

Oversee Help Desk operations (if applicable to assigned project)

Prepare and deliver weekly status updates and monthly reports on project performance and progress

Manage full project lifecycle activities, including budgeting, staffing, vendor coordination, and release planning

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects

Demonstrated experience managing Agile software development teams

Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance (fingerprinting required)

Desired Qualifications

Prior experience supporting federal government contracts

Experience managing projects with a Help Desk or support services component

Preferred Certifications

Project Management Professional (PMP)

SAFe Certification or equivalent Scrum Master certification

Additional Information

Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Background checks may include Criminal History, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Professional Certifications, and Credit History. (Public Trust investigations typically take 4–8 weeks and require fingerprinting.)

Work Environment: Flexible/remote

Salary Range: $115,000 – $150,000 annually
