Project Manager

Our client, a well-known utility provider, is actively hiring a Project Manager to join their team in Columbus, OH! This role will be hybrid and require travel throughout Ohio.

*This is a 1 year W2 contract with benefits offered!*

In this role, you will be supporting gas transmission and distribution facilities. You'll oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of extraordinary and high-profile projects throughout Ohio. As the Project Manager, you will drive project success by ensuring safety, reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:

Lead project scope, estimating, permitting, scheduling, risk analysis, material procurement, contractor selection, construction monitoring, and project close-out for gas transmission and distribution projects

Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction compliant with all codes and standards; deliver projects within 5% of cost estimates, on time, and without regulatory notices or citations

Foster effective collaboration across project managers, inspectors, engineering, sales, new business, and local operations; maintain strong relationships with municipalities and authorities.

Monitor and communicate progress of capital spend, project status, inspector schedules, and land services requirements; facilitate timely payments and progress tracking

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related field

5+ years' experience managing construction projects

3+ years in pipeline construction and project budgets

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
