Salary: $90,000+/yr

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the financial operations of a growing automotive organization. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, payroll, and internal controls while serving as a strategic business partner to leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong dealership or inventory-based accounting experience and enjoys working in a hands-on leadership role that directly supports business growth and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all accounting operations including AR, AP, payroll, inventory accounting, and general ledger

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Develop budgets, forecasts, financial models, and cash flow reporting

Support leadership with financial planning and strategic decision-making

Oversee inventory accounting, floor plan financing, and manufacturer reporting

Maintain internal controls, regulatory compliance, and tax reporting

Coordinate with financial institutions, auditors, and outside accountants

Support HR-related functions including payroll and benefits administration

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum 5 years of dealership or inventory-based accounting experience

Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge

Experience managing AR, AP, Payroll, General Ledger, budgeting, and inventory accounting

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills

CPA preferred
