Warehouse Associate

East West Staffing, Inc. (EWS) is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for a customer in the telecommunication industry. This professional will be responsible for inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, picking, staging and delivering parts. Maintaining a clean, secure and safe work environment.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate

Verify all incoming shipments to bills of lading and packing lists

Receive inventory in the computerized system

Notify Purchasing and supplier of shortages

Place equipment in predetermined location

Input of Bill of Materials into inventory system to create picking slip

Pulling, staging and shipping of goods and part

Complete shipping documents in inventory system

Palletize the product and shrink wrap

Load product onto truck

Conduct physical count

Investigate discrepancies

Requirements of the Warehouse Associate

Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook, Materials Resource Planning (MRP) software and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with frontline employees, peers, and executives

Good customer service skills

Experience in warehouse operations is preferred

Electrical Background is preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

Forklift experience is a plus

Preference to a candidate with current or expired OSHA certification

Must be accurate when reading numbers

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of containers

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
