Job Summary
Our Client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale technology programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, driving program execution across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and ensuring alignment with organizational technology strategies and business objectives.
This role requires a strong leader with experience managing application development and support teams, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and delivering complex technology initiatives in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams, including employees and contractors.
Hold teams accountable for commitments while proactively removing obstacles and roadblocks.
Facilitate the development of program plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
Manage day-to-day program activities and ensure successful execution of deliverables.
Build and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, suppliers, and technology teams.
Define program goals aligned with business objectives and technology strategy.
Monitor and communicate program status, schedules, budgets, risks, and overall performance.
Collaborate with peer Program Managers to ensure successful delivery of enterprise initiatives.
Manage the complete program lifecycle, including planning, resource allocation, procurement activities, risk management, scope management, and transition to operations.
Develop and maintain program schedules, resource plans, risk registers, status reports, and project documentation.
Promote a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Lead application development, support, enhancement, and modernization initiatives.
Drive technical debt reduction and application refactoring efforts.
Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance requirements.
Support governance initiatives, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
Foster innovation and continuous improvement across programs and teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience managing large programs and technical teams.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Strong experience leading business and technical teams through requirements gathering and documentation activities.
Experience creating and managing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Statements of Requirements (SORs).
Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Extensive experience with both Agile and Waterfall program management methodologies.
Experience balancing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience analyzing and documenting business and system processes.
Knowledge of process engineering and business process improvement methodologies.
Strong stakeholder management and vendor management experience.
