CDL A Driver

Overview

We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds and dump trucks. This role involves delivering freight efficiently across designated routes while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, route driving, and load & unload operations are highly preferred. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) and familiarity with manual transmission vehicles are essential for this position. Duties

• Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, lowbed moving equipment, trailers and dump trucks.

• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment when necessary.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.

• Drive assigned routes adhering to schedules while maintaining safe driving practices at all times.

• Manage delivery documentation accurately and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.

• Assist in securing cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations.

• Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the truck to ensure optimal operation.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck operated.

• Experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery.

• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.

• Experience operating specialized trucks such as flatbeds, trailers and dump trucks.

• Prior experience in load & unload operations and forklift operation is advantageous.

• Ability to operate various types of freight equipment safely and efficiently.

• Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and freight handling.

• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance standards.

• Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections as required. Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
