• The primary purpose is to provide facility watch service during times when plant is not Manufacturing gloves and manufacturing shift personnel are not on plant property, the Relief/Watch Associate provides routinely schedule relief support to shift manufacturing positions and operate plant cement dip tank filtering equipment as scheduled.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Essential High School diploma or GED and 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic computer skills Possess and maintain good attendance and safety record.

Desired

• Rubber glove manufacturing experience and understanding

• ISO 9000 experience

• Lean Manufacturing training and experience

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide plant watch service that includes regular rounds at assigned checkpoints during periods when manufacturing shifts are not working and run some selected operations as defined by Management Team. Watch Associate checklists and escalation procedures will be provided.

• Provide relief support to various manufacturing positions during regularly scheduled shifts. Relief help may include finishing, dipping, rolling, inspection/packaging, and shipping/receiving.

• Champion change and continuous improvement activities during both relief and watch Associate assignments.

• Set-up, operate and remove/store plant dip tank filtering equipment per standard work, perform Electrical and Porosity testing of gloves, rebuild carriages, etc.

• Cross-train based upon departmental requirements and expectations.

• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

SPECIAL CHALLENGES

• This position is critical in supporting manufacturing in reaching the production scheduled and assuring the facility is secured during manufacturing downtimes. Relief/Watch Associate must be able to work with minimum supervision and react to emergency situations in a calm fashion

Physical Requirements/PPE

• Moderate physical effort and mental-visual concentration on a regular basis. Lift/transport 15 pounds repetitively. Required to stand 90% in performance of duties. Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment. Must be respirator certified. Must be able to communicate effectively.
