New Paradigm Agency, a D.C.-based communications and public affairs consulting firm, is seeking a resourceful and organized Integrated Communications & Digital Assistant with strong writing, research, digital, and interpersonal skills to join our team.

A firm rooted in politics and campaigns, New Paradigm executes rapid-response style communications and digital campaigns in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Candidates must have the ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, interface with clients, and balance multiple projects at once.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in communications, digital media, paid advertising, public affairs, and progressive advocacy campaigns. They should possess strong written communication skills; exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; and sound political instincts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Draft and edit communications materials, including press releases, media advisories, talking points, op-eds, social media posts, email copy, and messaging documents

Monitor, collect, and organize press clips and media coverage

Assist with drafting and distributing press materials, pitching reporters, coordinating interviews, staffing press conferences, and supporting rapid-response media moments

Support logistics and communications execution for press conferences and public-facing activations

Assist in the strategy and execution of digital advertising and social media campaigns across platforms including Meta, Google, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok

Help manage paid campaign setup, audience targeting and list development, creative trafficking, and campaign monitoring

Accurately track and analyze campaign performance, social engagement, and media metrics for client reporting

Coordinate with internal creative, communications, and paid media teams to manage timelines, deliverables, and client needs

Conduct issue-specific and audience research to support communications and digital strategy

Assist with website updates, email marketing campaigns, and content management across digital channels

Provide administrative and scheduling support, including coordinating meetings, balancing competing priorities, and maintaining organized and responsive communication with clients and internal teams

Application Requirements:

1–3 years of experience in communications, digital advocacy, public affairs, political campaigns, marketing, or related fields

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with social media platforms, digital tools, and paid advertising platforms

Comfort interfacing with clients, media, and external partners

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Comfort with translating analytics and performance data into written narratives and reporting deliverables

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with digital advertising platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, or StackAdapt

Experience with email marketing or CRM platforms such as MailChimp, EveryAction, or Action Network

Experience with social/traditional media monitoring or analytics tools like Meltwater

Familiarity with WordPress or website content management systems

Experience working in politics, advocacy, nonprofit communications, or public affairs

We work on a range of high-profile issues, including immigration, anti-trust, labor, data privacy, and civil rights. We work with corporations, trade associations, non-profits, advocacy organizations, and political candidates.

NOTE: This position requires in-office attendance Monday-Thursday. Friday is WFH. Our DC office is located in Metro Center.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. NP Agency offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including health benefits, retirement, and career growth and development opportunities.
