Duration:- 8+ months
Location:- Houston, TX, and Columbus, Ohio.
Description:
As an Application Support, you will:
- Participate in the design-build, refactoring major software components that improve the availability, resiliency, and performance of our system.
Design, code, test, and deliver software to automate manual operational work
Troubleshoot incidents, participate in blameless post-incident evaluations, and ensure permanent closure of incidents
Design and implement product improvements to prevent incident reoccurrence.
Implement application patterns in support of better service level objectives.
Participate and engage in SR/DR/HA exercises to validate resiliency assumptions and streamline them.
Engage with development teams throughout the life cycle of the incident, ensure lessons learned are translated into automated or process adjust responses to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changes
Code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational work
Analyze and implement self-healing and resiliency patterns and contribute to software-driven alerting and retry.
Participate in the 24x7 coverage as needed
The ideal candidate will have skills such as:
Abinitio (ETL Tool) and Hadoop - Spark, Scala Knowledge of HIVE, Impala; UNIX Shell scripting
Autosys/Control-M scheduling package. Familiarity with Control M and AutoSys job scheduler
Troubleshoot production processing and execute problem resolution through post-issue evaluations, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
Oracle (v9i/10/11 )SQLPL/SQL Stored Procedures support/development
Nice to have skills:
Hands-on experience with cloud deployment, monitoring, and ops analysis tools such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, and DynaTrace is a big plus.
Knowledge of GIT, BitBucket, Jenkins, SONAR, SPLUNK, Maven, AIM, and Continuous Delivery tools.
Proficiency in one or more modern, relevant languages (e.g. Python, Java, Go).
