High Split Technician - Upstate NY

We are looking for High-Split Technicians to join our crew!

1099 CONTRACTOR Commission-based job!

ONLY WITH OWN TRUCK/VAN or MINIVAN! It is a MUST!

With Cabling or Coax experience. On-the-job training. Full-time job.

Weekly pay ranges from $1,800–$2,500.

Responsibilities:

As a High-Split Technician, your responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

Upgrade and replace cable network equipment, including amplifiers, nodes, passives, and related HFC equipment

Perform High-Split upgrades to improve internet speeds and increase network bandwidth for customers

Balance and align amplifiers to maintain proper RF signal levels and network performance

Troubleshoot signal issues, noise, ingress, and service interruptions within the cable network

Read and follow system maps, prints, and technical documentation

Perform maintenance and repair work on aerial and underground cable systems

Use signal meters, leakage detectors, and other testing equipment to verify network performance

Complete node splits, plant upgrades, and system improvement projects

Accurately complete work orders, job documentation, and reporting systems

Follow safety procedures and telecom industry standards at all times

Work closely with supervisors and dispatch to complete assigned projects on schedule

Requirements:

Your OWN VAN, MINIVAN, OR PICKUP TRUCK

Previous cable technician or telecom experience required

Experience with amplifiers, nodes, and HFC networks is a plus

Active driver's license

Valid Social Security Number

iPhone/iPad for using the app to receive orders

Conversational English (other languages are welcome but not required)

Ability to pass a drug test

Ability to pass a background

Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions

Ability to carry ladders and heavy equipment

It's not a problem if you don't have previous High-Split experience — we'll teach you how to work.
