Our customer located in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Certification / Documentation Specialist for a long-term contract position.

The salary range for this position is dependent upon level of experience.


• Liaise with SE&SE organization to confirm target calibrations / programs and document in the OBD Approval Timing plan.

• Document the associated PCM / ECM release filenames for the target calibrations / programs into CARB files.

• Create Sample Calibration Decks from the CARB files using CRS (CARB Reports Software) Tool.

• Revise Sample Calibration Decks to remove unsupported content.

• Incorporate Misfire Capability and Enablement plots for the FTP and US06 drive cycles into the Sample Calibration Decks.

• Incorporate Catalyst volume into the Sample Calibration Decks.

• Distribute Sample Calibration Deck for approvals.

• Maintain and update CARB_PARAMETERS database with parameters relevant to the CARB OBDII Sample Calibration Documentation.

• Generate DTC Reports to confirm Sample Calibration Deck accuracy.

• Co-locate (1 to 2 days per week) with ECM / PCM team to development a common production process (eg. interfaces with calibration, SW team, delivery timing).

• Identify process improvements to publishing Sample Calibration Decks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering, with some Electronics, Communications, and/or Software / Algorithm Development and/or Program Management background).

• Basic understanding of automotive control systems.

• Basic understanding of system and software design.

• Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Good office IT skills.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

• Highly motivated self-starter.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge in Engine / Vehicle Diagnostic Systems and/or On and Off Board Diagnostic Systems is preferred.

• Experience in Excel scripting is preferred.

• Basic understanding of OBDII operation is preferred.

• Understand service procedures and service documentation is preferred.
