Purpose of the Position

•The Administrative Support Clerk-purchasing will provide administrative support to SC-NA (Sales Center- North America) and TC- AM (Tech Center America) in Novi. This position is responsible for providing a high level of service to both our customers and to internal staff. The position will support shipping, receiving and inventory management as needed.

Main Tasks

•Responsible for all reception tasks for the TC-AM including but not limited to: answering incoming calls, day to day maintenance for the kitchen area, meeting and training rooms, supporting and arranging Tech Center guest accommodations, meals, etc., processing of incoming and outgoing mail, & maintaining and reordering of office supplies, tidying up meeting and kitchen areas.

•Receive and process purchase requisitions for both Group Company Purchases shipping from Novi in addition to third party purchases to support both the Sales Center and the Tech Center.

•Support the Shipping and Receiving Department and Service Administration on an as needed basis.

•Supporting the travel arrangements for the infrequent travelers.

•Responsible for supporting management in arranging building services, reviewing and tracking building service bills, and maintenance contracts/issues for Novi.

•Assisting management with administrative tasks including but not limited to reporting, projects, organization of meetings, training seminars, etc.

•Perform other duties as assigned.


•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

•Positive pro-active attitude with the ability to work as a team with the customer service/sales administration and technical staff.

•Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time.

•Must have strong computer and typing skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

•Must have capabilities to learn software including but not limited to ERP and CRM systems.

•Must be able to physically handle parts and packages up to 50 lbs. Lift, move and identify equipment to retrieve part numbers, serial numbers for processing in support of Shipping and Receiving and Service Administration.

Requirements Profile

•Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree and minimum of 3 years of experience or High School diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of experience will be considered.

•Physical requirements: ability to sit at a desk 80% of workday, ability to use a computer 80% of workday, & ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
