Major Responsibilities

Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies

Ensure daily pre-shift inspections are completed and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift

Routinely make visual inspections of emergency evacuation routes correcting any safety concerns immediately

Within 24 hours of an accident/incident complete accident investigations identifying root cause and corrective action

Conduct weekly safety talks in pre-shift meetings and ensure team members sign safety training roster.

Maintain open communication and provide continued support to other departments regarding any changes, problems, or special projects

Ensure operator safety devices function properly

Coordinate and assign job responsibility for team members

Achieve first time quality and efficiency to meet production requirements

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting

Immediately attend to all accidents and injuries and initiate the accident and injury investigation program, while following up to ensure procedure implementation and completion

Follow and comply with all operational procedures and policies

Initiate and administer corrective actions as required

Assist with resolving quality and scheduling issues

Facilitate on-the-job training for Maintenance Team Members

Troubleshoot any maintenance related issues that arise within assigned department

Monitor and maintain and good housekeeping

Facilitate on-the-job team member training

Complete and maintain team member performance reviews

Participate in progressive discipline process with team members

Act on behalf of Area Leader in their absence

Effectively conduct pre-shift meetings

Support preventive and predictive maintenance scheduling

Support company and customer quality systems, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing processes

Knowledge and Education EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associates Degree from accredited technical college, or equivalent experience


Experience with basic Microsoft Word and Excel

Work Experience Minimum of 3 years with a strong technical background in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
