Aurora Butchers is a specialist halal meat retailer supplying high-quality halal-certified meat products to the local community. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Butcher to join our team on a

full-time basis.

Salary: AUD $78,000 – $82,000 per annum + 12% Superannuation

About the Role

This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to work

with a growing halal butcher business committed to quality products and

exceptional customer service. The successful applicant will be reliable,

customer-focused and committed to maintaining high standards in meat

preparation and food safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

Select and inspect meat to ensure quality, freshness and compliance with halal standards.

Cut, trim, bone and prepare meat products according to customer and

business requirements.

Operate meat processing equipment including slicers, grinders, mincers

and tenderisers.

Weigh, label, package and display meat products for retail sale.

Prepare and produce smallgoods and value-added meat products.

Monitor production processes to ensure quality, hygiene and efficiency

standards are maintained.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and workplace

hygiene.

Assist with stock control and ordering of meat supplies.

Create attractive and well-presented meat displays.

Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product

selection and purchases.

Work with a range of halal-certified meat products including chicken,

lamb, goat and other meats.

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience working as a Butcher.

Demonstrated skills in meat cutting, trimming, boning and preparation.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Sound knowledge of food safety, workplace health and hygiene practices.

Experience working with halal meat products will be highly regarded.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Relevant qualifications such as food safety qualification will be highly

regarded.
