Summary Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AWS/Java/ETL developer with a focus on data modernization using AWS cloud solutions. The role requires close collaboration with data modernization teams to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet technical and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose modernization strategies.

Design, develop, and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systems.

Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines.

Analyze data models and business requirements.

Validate data accuracy and integrity through database queries.

Design, create, and execute test cases.

Conduct back-end testing for logic and data processing.

Work closely with developers and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Utilize AWS services within application architecture.

Develop, test, debug, and deliver solutions using best practices.

Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, efficient code.

Monitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability.

Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges.

Ensure adherence to standards and best practices.

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver solutions.

Skill Sets and Experience:

Proficient in using various AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, Athena) to build and manage cloud environments. Must Have: 5 Years

Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework, and Hibernate technology. Must Have: 7 Years

Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development. Must Have: 5 Years

Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems. Must Have: 5 Years

Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools. Must Have: 5 Years

Experience with data analytics and business intelligence solutions (like Power BI or AWS QuickSight). Must Have: 2 Years

Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. Desired: 7 Years

Experience creating AWS ETL jobs and data pipelines with high volumes of data. Must Have: 3 Years

AWS Certification. Desired

Federal/State/Government experience. Desired
