Job description*:

• Design and implement DR plans & HA solutions and recommendations.

• Install, configure, and upgrade MongoDB instances maintaining support lifecycles.

• Strong understanding of:

1. Replica sets, sharding architecture, balancer operations

2. Indexing strategies and query execution plans

3. Aggregation pipeline and schema design approaches

• Manage and Monitor MongoDB deployments across multiple data centers using OpsManager.

• Perform routine database operations, including user management, roles, auditing, and schema design guidance.

• Identify slow queries, optimize indexes, and fine-tune database parameters.

• Conduct capacity planning and resource forecasting.

• Implement, configure, and maintain backup/restore strategies using OpsManager and scripts.

• Ensure high availability through replication, failover, and cluster management.

• Report and remediate MongoDB vulnerabilities published and safeguard database environments.

• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash or Ansible.

• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, replication lag, query issues, and cluster health problems.

• Provide 24*7 oncall support for critical and essential applications.

• Collaborate with application teams to optimize schema design and query patterns.

• Configure and maintain Vector Search indexes and Full Text search.

• Implement fuzzy search for typos, spelling variations, approximate matching, and user-friendly search flows.

• Suggest and implement best practices for backups, replication, and health checks.

#Good to have:

• Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas and cloud-based deployments.

• Experience with Linux administration and networking fundamentals.

• Understanding of Kubernetes orchestration to debug DB connectivity issues.

• Knowledge of additional databases (MariaDB and Cassandra)

• MongoDB certified DBA and Atlas administrator
