Salary: $21.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to assist an 81 year old woman with hearing and mobility challenges. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Hokkien, patient, and experienced in elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

• Support mobility, including safe transfers and walking assistance

• Prepare and serve meals

• Provide medication reminders

• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, maintaining a safe environment)

• Accompany client to appointments and outings

• Offer companionship and emotional support

• Observe and report changes in health or behaviour

• Assist with simple exercise or mobility routines

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent

• Experience in elderly care or home support (preferred)

• Fluent in Hokkien (required)

• Able to perform physically demanding tasks

• Criminal record check and references required

• Patient, dependable, organized, and compassionate

Work Setting

• Employer’s home

• One elderly client

• Public transportation available
