IPC Paralegal

About the Opportunity
A leading offshore law firm is seeking an organised and proactive IPC Paralegal to provide high-quality legal and practice support to partners and associates within its International Private Client team.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of exceptional client service through a combination of legal, administrative and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Review and summarise legal and supporting documentation, including trust and company documents, correspondence bundles and diligence packs
Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical research notes for review
Assist with drafting routine legal documents, letters, resolutions and checklists using precedents and templates
Proofread and check documents for accuracy, consistency and formatting
Assist in preparing reports and correspondence for clients and advisers
Attend meetings and calls to take accurate notes and circulate action points promptly
Prepare draft execution packs and coordinate signing logistics under supervision
Maintain accurate electronic filing and document management systems
Assist with file opening procedures and client due diligence (CDD) requirements
Support transaction and document production processes, including compiling bundles and preparing execution versions
Coordinate billing processes, including draft bills, WIP monitoring and liaising with finance teams
Help maintain matter lists, billing visibility and key date tracking
Update and maintain CRM records and contact information
Support marketing and business development initiatives, including events, travel arrangements and presentations
Assist with a wide range of administrative and operational tasks to support the smooth running of the practice
About You
High school or degree level educated
A paralegal qualification or related course would be advantageous, but is not essential
Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment, ideally in a similar role
Strong IT skills and confidence using document and matter management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
A proactive, disciplined and detail-oriented approach
Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance
Flexible, enthusiastic and eager to learn
Willingness to develop an understanding of Cayman Islands law
