Position Title ARNP - Family Practice - FL #3578

Location Madison Florida

Provides general medical care and treatment to patients in medical facility under direction of Physician, by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.

Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.

Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis based on patient's condition.

Discusses case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.

Submits health care plan and goals of individual patient for periodic review and evaluation by Physician.

Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.

Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.

Maintain strictest confidentiality.

Any other duties assigned by lead provider or CMO.

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:

BSN required, MSN preferred.

Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.

Current State of Florida ARNP License.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.

Knowledge of how to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.

Working knowledge of computer, computer systems and applications.

Must have skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.

Skill in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.

Ability to maintain quality control standards.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.

Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
