Job Description
Strategic Estimating: Partner directly with the Chief Estimator to produce precise, competitive bids for projects of all scales, from minor renovations to major vertical developments.
Bid Management: Oversee the bid log and provide real-time status updates to leadership, ensuring management has full visibility into the pipeline.
Procurement & Outreach: Collaborate with Project Managers to curate comprehensive bidders lists and manage outreach to specialized subcontractors and suppliers (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, etc.).
Client Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact for project owners, leading site walk-throughs and participating in high-level strategy meetings alongside partners and PMs.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Facilitate bi-weekly project updates to ensure alignment across the entire team and lead the technical development of formal proposals.
Supply Chain Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with component suppliers to ensure accurate pricing for critical materials like precast, joists, and structural steel.

The Successful Applicant
Experience & Education: A Bachelor's degree is preferred, complemented by 5+ years of proven success in commercial construction estimating or preconstruction services.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to perform rapid, high-accuracy plan reviews and evaluate complex architectural and structural drawings with precision.
Local Expertise: A strong working knowledge of Ohio jurisdictions, building codes, and municipal review processes is highly valued.
Precision & Organization: Superior attention to detail with the organizational discipline to manage multiple bidding deadlines simultaneously.
Communication Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex bid data clearly to owners, partners, and subcontractors.
