Smart4Chemicals are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a leading manufacturing business based in Gainesville, Texas.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CI professional to drive operational excellence initiatives, lead Lean Six Sigma projects, and support site-wide performance improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As the Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement best practice CI methodologies, and deliver measurable efficiency and cost-saving results across the site.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate Continuous Improvement activities across the manufacturing siteIdentify, scope, prioritise, and deliver CI projects focused on productivity, waste reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiencyDevelop and maintain KPI dashboards aligned with site and business objectivesCoach and mentor engineers, supervisors, and operators on Lean Six Sigma methodologies and CI best practicesDrive the implementation of CI tools including Kaizen, DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean Manufacturing principlesConduct Lean Six Sigma assessments and develop action plans to address operational gapsTrack project progress, deliverables, and performance improvements across departmentsSupport operator training and continuous development initiativesPartner with Quality Assurance and Production teams to improve manufacturing processes and ensure robust, cost-effective operationsPromote a strong continuous improvement culture across the site RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical disciplineMinimum 5 years’ Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience within a chemical, food, or manufacturing environmentStrong working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologiesExperience leading CI projects in a manufacturing environment with measurable business impactExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsBlack Belt certification preferred BenefitsCompetitive salary packageMedical, Dental & Vision coverage401(k) with company match and retirement savings planPaid vacation and holiday allowanceOpportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
