Interim Litigation Paralegal

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group is seeking an Interim Litigation Paralegal for the next 6+ months.

Overview: We are seeking an interim litigation paralegal counsel to assist with subpoena responses and records requests.

Company: Global logistics company.

Experience: 3-5+ years of experience responding to subpoena requests.

Location: strong preference for candidates local to the Columbus, OH area who are comfortable working a hybrid work schedule

Responsibilities Include:

Timely and thorough management, validity assessment, and response to external subpoena inquiries by cross-referencing, organizing, differentiating, and/or escalating to appropriate Legal, Risk, and Human Resource teams throughout the use of multiple existing database platforms within the organization.

Track, communicate, review, redact, respond, and record attorney records demands, and route to the appropriate internal teams.

Create new matter/add to matter and documentation management systems.

Request necessary responsive documentation from cross-functional teams within the organization.

Prepare and send response letters within statutory guidelines.

Utilize broad technological experience to adapt to the Company standard, and process efficiently with the ability to take direction and execute further tasks as necessary.

Qualifications Include:

BS/BA Degree, or significant paralegal experience, higher certifications and degrees are a plus.

~ 5-8 years of in-house experience responding to subpoenas and records requests.

5+ years of experience organizing, tracking, cross-referencing, reviewing, redacting, responding, recording, and routing different requests from cross-functional business lines.
