Job Description

We are partnering with a lead federal agency to look for an experienced Software and Hardware Asset Manager to mature and optimize its existing IT asset management program. This is a hands-on process improvement role built around ServiceNow HAM, SAM, and ITOM, you will not be building from scratch. You will be walking into an established environment and making it better: tightening workflows, improving data accuracy, closing compliance gaps, and turning informal practices into documented, repeatable processes.

If you have deep ServiceNow ITAM experience and a track record of taking asset management programs from functional to excellent inside a federal or regulated environment, this role is built for you.

Evaluate and enhance existing asset management workflows across hardware and software lifecycle stages

Identify gaps in current ServiceNow HAM, SAM, and ITOM configurations and implement targeted improvements

Strengthen software license compliance through more rigorous audits, reconciliation, and usage monitoring

Improve accuracy and consistency of hardware inventory records, warranty tracking, and disposal procedures

Tighten integration between asset management and operational service management processes in ServiceNow ITOM

Build and enhance dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support compliance, financial, and operational visibility

Formalize ad-hoc procedures into documented standard operating procedures

Support change management and provide guidance to staff on proper use of asset management systems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

5 or more years of IT asset management experience

Hands-on ServiceNow experience across HAM, SAM, and ITOM -- required, not negotiable

Demonstrated experience maturing and improving existing ITAM programs, not just maintaining them

Familiarity with federal IT management policies, compliance requirements, and ITIL principles

Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance obligations

Preferred

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

CSAM, CHAMP, or equivalent ITAM/SAM certification

Full-time
