Primary Care Physician – Locums

Jay, OK

We’re seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locums assignment in Jay, Oklahoma. This is a great opportunity for providers who value a consistent weekday schedule and a steady patient panel. Position Details

Duration: 17-week contract (option to extend)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Setting: Primary Care / Outpatient

Call: None specified

$120 – $135/hour (1099) Job Description

The Primary Care Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages in a clinical setting. This role includes diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and supporting overall patient health within the community. Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan

Manage both acute illnesses and chronic conditions

Perform routine physical exams, wellness visits, and preventive screenings

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests

Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness

Provide patient and family education on health maintenance and disease prevention

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems

Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care

Follow all clinical guidelines, protocols, and regulatory standards Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Primary Care (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of Primary Care experience

Active Oklahoma medical license

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Comfortable treating patients of all ages
