Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The team requires an adaptable, results driven, Paint & Assembly Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing team in day-to-day execution of production. What you will do:
Lead and motivate toward achievement of metrics and KPIs as provided by supply chain management team
Provide consistent and fair leadership and coaching
Create, maintain, and implement employee development plans supported by MTMS Skills Matrix
Develop, Maintain, and implement Training materials, Standard work, & Work Instructions
Manage team timecards and time off requests
Plan monthly rotation to enable a cross trained, flexible, and highly executing team
Assist with interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new hires
Monitor work performance and provide training to team members on fabrication techniques and safety protocols supported by annual reviews and quarterly 1 on 1's
Ensure that all fabrication processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality assurance) to facilitate smooth workflows and resolve any issues that arise
Maintain equipment and tooling, ensuring proper maintenance and safety checks are conducted
Lead daily Tier 1 SQDC meetings with team and communicate escalations through Tiered SQDC meetings with leadership
Analyze production data and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Champion lean manufacturing culture on the shop floor
Provide root cause analysis support and corrective action implementation to drive disturbance elimination
Fully participate in and drive team engagement with MT Continuous improvement initiatives
Facilitate resolution of any problems that occur, internally with fabrication processes What You Need to Succeed
High School Diploma
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, supervision experience is preferred
Extensive knowledge in industrial paint application (Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AAMP) certifications are a plus)
Demonstrated experience improving & leading a manufacturing team
The motivation, adaptability, and professional qualities to work with multiple disciplines
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead teams
Sound analytical abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and manage multiple objectives with minimal direct supervision
Demonstrated ability to bring tasks through to completion
Ability to gain and train on lean concepts aligned with the Mettler Toledo Production System This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
