Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in early childhood education by providing occupational therapy services to young learners aged 3-4 years old as part of a collaborative Early Interventionist Team. This onsite contract opportunity offers part-time hours, making it ideal for those seeking a balanced schedule. The assignment runs for the duration of the academic year, offering a rewarding chance to support growth and independence in a school setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Louisiana OT or COTA license required
Previous experience working in school-based or early childhood settings preferred
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Passion for helping children reach developmental milestones
Reliability and commitment to the assignment dates
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to 3-4-year-olds, focusing on developmental support and skill-building
Assess, plan, and implement individual and group interventions to meet student needs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress and services provided
Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
Travel to two sites: 2 days in the North and 2 days in the South area as assigned
If applying as a COTA, participate in required supervision provided by an OT
