Position Overview
Access Sciences is seeking a Jr .NET web developer to support and enhance the applications and systems that enable our Records & Information Management (RIM) and Scanning Operations teams, as well as our client end users. This role focuses on delivering reliable, scalable solutions while partnering closely with operations and relationship managers to modernize platforms, support business needs, and ensure stable day-to-day system performance.
This individual must be able to take complex and sometimes vague requirements from the client and develop solutions that meets their needs in an environment that is often subject to rapid change as customer needs evolve. In addition to excellent technical skills, this role requires high attention to detail, consistency, and most importantly the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally through various mediums such as phone, email, or text chat. Must be able to work either individually or as part of a team with both local and remote members.
Administer and develop the applications and databases
Develop, test, debug, and maintain custom software applications
Create and enforce application test critical, protocols, and methods to ensure consistent change control
Install/configure software related to application development
Support and troubleshoot software, hardware, and scanning equipment
Create routine productivity and application utilization status reports
Evaluate new IT and scanning equipment and coordinate third-part repairs
Create final technical documentation
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues and escalating incidents as necessary on behalf of clients
Upgrade legacy platforms into current technology
Work with relationship managers and operations department to understand business needs
Qualifications
Education:
College Degree in computer related field
Experience:
2+ years of programming experience
Experience providing IT / Technical supporting a professional environment (Microsoft and Windows platforms)
Software development, web application development (Microsoft Windows IIS); using Oracle and/or MS SQL
Experience using application API's
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to apply structured testing, change control, and documentation standards to support reliable application release
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to resolve application, database, and environment issues efficiently
Experience working in operations, production-supported environments where stability and responsiveness are critical
Ability to translate operation and user needs into technical solutions through effective collaboration with non-technical stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and discipline in maintaining data integrity, system consistency, and auditability
Organized, adaptable, and able to balance planned development work with reactive support needs
License and Certifications:
None required
Requirements
Proficiency in one or more of the following
C#, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, Java, Python
NET MVC and Web Forms
MS SQL / T-SQL / PL-SQL / Oracle queries, procedures, relational database design
Cloud-based application development and deployment
5+ years of development experience focused on web applications in .Net
5+ years of designing, writing and debugging C# code using Visual Studio
5+ years of experience working with database systems.
3+ years of experience working with REST Service APIs using .Net
3+ years of experience working with source code management systems
All work is performed on-site at Access Sciences' office in Baton Rouge, LA in support of client projects. Full Time (Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM)
