Senior Business Intelligence Developer (0019-0005)

Serve as a member of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team, which resides within the Data Architecture and Development Department. Responsible for building and maintaining the enterprise data warehouse and data marts, working with various business units to gather report and data analytic requirements, develop robust data solutions, and supporting users on Business Intelligence data analysis platforms. Job duties include the following:

· Support business user data analytical needs:

o Work with business users to address their complex data analysis needs using SQL and BI platform software.

o Communicate with users on outages and BI release updates.

o Prepare High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Database (LLD) design specification documents to cater to business and technical project requirements.

Design, development and maintain of BI analytics platforms and ETL:

Work with business analysts, business users, and BI team to identify business data needs.

Design, develop, and maintain the business model mapping and presentation layers in the BI platform.

Work with the BI team to design ETL to transform complex and diverse source data into consumable data mart tables as well as database views directly on transactional system consumed by BI.

Develop and test BI and ETL solutions in Oracle database technologies.

Perform requirements gathering, source data analysis and ensuring data integrity.

Use Data modeling concepts to model database objects, data migrations and execute Data Manipulation Language (DML) and Data Definition Language (DDL) operations in data mart.

Work with scripting languages such as UNIX Shell, Cron and Bash for scheduling database jobs and running automatic SQL scripts.

Develop high quality Oracle PL SQL queries/programs to provide the desired output and performance tuning of existing PL SQL code modules.

Utilizing knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies in each phase of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Develop and test scripts to load the historical data to seed the data mart tables for testing, dry runs and production migrations using knowledge of Postgres and SQL Server database technologies.

Support data analysis solutions:

Deploy data analysis solution releases and perform database maintenance tasks.

Develop and share sample queries with other team members based on these releases.

Monitor and work with other IT support personnel to address production issues.

Can telecommute up to 3 days per week.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related engineering field plus five (5) years of business intelligence/analytics experience. Experience must include:

Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

· Software Development;

· Data analysis and data exploration;

· Working in metadata management;

· Business model mapping in Oracle BI/Business Objects/Cognos;

· Working with SQL.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
