This contract opportunity runs from May 26, 2026, to August 14, 2026, offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus coverage every sixth weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify inpatient medication orders and ensure accuracy and safety in dispensing.
Oversee sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding processes.
Attend emergency codes and provide critical pharmacotherapy support.
Assist nursing and provider staff in delivering effective medication management.
Provide patient education related to medication therapies.
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians who prepare and deliver medications to support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Ohio Pharmacist License is required.
Proven experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy practice.
Proficiency with Computerized Provider Entry Order (CPOE) verification.
Knowledge of pharmacotherapy principles, including antibiotic and renal dosing.
Experience managing sterile/non-sterile/hazardous compounding.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Systems Knowledge:
Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for order entry (training available).
Pyxis Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC) for site automation.
