About the Role
We are seeking a Fiber Technician Trainer Opportunity (Associate Technical Trainer) to support a hands-on training program for entry-level fiber technicians.
This role focuses on on-the-floor coaching and skill development, working directly with trainees during lab exercises to reinforce proper installation techniques and ensure quality standards are met.
This is a fully onsite, hands-on role ideal for a technician looking to grow into a training or leadership position within CBRE supporting Meta data center environments.
Note: This role is not a traditional classroom training position. Candidates must have hands-on fiber installation experience and be comfortable working in a lab-based training environment.
What You’ll Do
Support daily hands-on training exercises and labs
Coach trainees in real time on:
Cable pulling and routing
Termination techniques
Labeling and cable management
Identify and correct improper techniques immediately
Provide 1:1 support to trainees who need additional help
Assist with lab setup, teardown, and equipment organization
Track trainee progress and provide feedback to the lead trainer
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment
What You Bring
2–4+ years of fiber optic, telecom, or structured cabling experience
Experience in construction, telecom, or data center environments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to demonstrate and explain hands-on tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Interest in mentoring and developing others
Nice to Have:
Exposure to data center environments
Fiber certifications (or willingness to obtain)
