Role: Lead Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Rate: $70/hour W2

Schedule: Hybrid (3-4 days onsite)

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to design, build, and maintain a suite of internal security and IAM applications. This role requires a strong full stack engineer who can work across frontend, backend, and cloud environments while also contributing to architecture and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications (Angular frontend, Java/Spring Boot backend)

Support multiple security-focused applications and internal portals

Build and integrate REST APIs

Contribute to cloud-based development and migration efforts (AWS)

Work with MySQL and MongoDB databases (MySQL is primary)

Ensure applications follow secure development best practices

Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers

Participate in architecture and design decisions

Support production troubleshooting and ongoing enhancements

Required Skills

Strong full stack experience:

Angular (v20+)

Java 17, Spring Boot

Node.js

Experience building and consuming REST APIs

Hands-on experience with AWS, including:

Lambda

DynamoDB

CloudWatch

Docker / containerization experience

Strong experience with MySQL (critical) and exposure to MongoDB

Ability to work independently and make design and technical decisions

Preferred

Exposure to cybersecurity or secure application development

Previous technical leadership or mentorship experience

Experience with cloud migration projects
