Job Description

The Roadside Tech plays a crucial role in providing prompt and effective roadside assistance to a diverse fleet of vehicles, including passenger cars, light trucks and vans, and heavy-duty trucks. Operating within a dispatch-supported small service team, this position requires the ability to handle emergency repairs, vehicle diagnostics, and customer communication while adhering to safety standards. With varied shifts including on-call and rotating schedules, the Roadside Tech ensures vehicles are back on the road quickly and safely across local and long-distance routes.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify issues quickly

Conduct emergency roadside repairs including tire changes and jump starts

Communicate effectively with customers to explain services and resolve concerns

Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and standards

Navigate routes efficiently using mobile dispatch apps and tools

Provide fuel delivery and lockout assistance as needed

Utilize a range of tools such as 2-ton jacks, lockout kits, and standard hand tools

Adapt to various shift patterns including day, night, rotating, and on-call availability

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years experience in vehicle roadside assistance

Vocational training in automotive repair

Valid Driver’s License

Knowledge of automotive repair and diagnostic tools

Strong customer service and communication skills

Familiarity with safety standards and protocols

Effective problem solving and time management abilities
