NOW HIRING: Medical Coder – Hospital Setting

In-Person Role Local Candidates Only

Pay: $38–40/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Acute Care Hospital Environment

Our hospital client is seeking an experienced Medical Coder with strong inpatient and Emergency Department coding experience to join their team!

Requirements:

• Experience with medical coding in an acute care hospital setting

• Inpatient and ED coding experience required

• CCS certification required

• AHIMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCP, and/or CCS credentials highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of ICD-9 CM, CPT-4, Encoder, and federal/payor billing guidelines

• Experience with 3M/HDS coding applications required

• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes

• Strong computer proficiency including MS Word and Excel

• Ability to research coding-related issues and assist with coder training
