We are seeking Survey & QC Field Technicians for various construction projects in the United States to join our team!
Position Summary: Mt.
Carmel Stabilization Group is looking for dual-role survey and QC field technicians to assist our Engineering Department in some of our core markets across the Midwest.
This is a full-time position with the potential for extensive travel and exposure to a wide variety of construction projects and markets.
As a survey technician, you will assist our fine-grading operations and work directly with our in-house surveyor.
When not assisting our surveying operations, you will be working with our quality control manager on construction sites by performing quality control field testing or performing research and development on new technologies.
You will gain extensive construction and soil stabilization experience working alongside some of the best personnel in the soil stabilization industry.

Key Responsibilities Surveying SkillsKnowledge of operating and setting up robotic total stations with data collectors using GPS rover/base.Using a survey level.
Preferred experience with Trimble.Knowledge of setting up heavy equipment for machine control.
Preferred experience with GCS900 or Earthworks.Understands Cut/FillsConverting foot and inches to decimal footReading plans and knowledge of field survey methods, techniques, and instruments needed to measure and stake points, lines, elevationsUnderstand how to use survey control points, understanding requirements to obtain required accuracyUnderstanding of earthwork grading and surveying termsFamiliar with MS Office.
Data collector software Trimble Sitework experience preferred Field QC Testing SkillsBasic knowledge of soil types and earthwork constructionBasic understanding soil field testing during construction (measuring compaction, obtaining soil samples, etc.)Basic knowledge of soil laboratory test results and interpretationFamiliarity with chemical soil stabilization processAbility to accurately report soil information and results onAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Physical RequirementsAbility to operate a company vehicle within our company policy.
