Compensation: $24.16 per hour

Schedule: Full-time

Work Hours: 7:00AM to 4:00PM (Subject to 24-hour call)

What You'll Do as an Electronic Radiation Instrument Technician 1:

Assists in the repair, service & non-NVLAP accredited calibration of electronic radiation detection & monitoring equipment (e.g., radiation detectors, personal electronic dosimeters & pocket ion chamber dosimeters);

Under direction of the Radiological instrument Service Manager & Radiological Instrument Tech 3, performs electronic radiation detection & monitoring equipment maintenance & repair;

Keeps records of the field exchange & inspection of state-owned radiological equipment located throughout the state;

Attends special equipment training as needed;

Assists the Radiological Instrument Service Manager & higher-level radiological instrument technicians in maintaining inventory of equipment;

Qualifications:

OPTION 1: 30 mos. exp. in electronics; AND valid driver's license.

OPTION 2: Or completion of associate core program in electronics, electronics engineering or electrical/electronic engineering; AND 6 mos. exp. in electronics; AND valid driver's license.

Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Supplemental Information:

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May require travel; may be required to be on-call 24hrs., 7 days per week.

Requires valid driver's license to operate state-owned vehicle or must be able to provide own transportation.
