Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a Commis Chef, Commis Chef is the entry-level position in a professional kitchen, serving as the foundation for a culinary career. Typically, commis chefs are junior cooks who assist chef de partie (station chefs) with food preparation, mise en place, and kitchen operations. They learn essential skills like knife techniques, ingredient prep, stock rotation, and hygiene under the guidance of senior chefs.
Main duties of this role:
Preparing ingredients (chopping, peeling, dicing), measuring components, and organizing workstations.
Supporting various kitchen stations (e.g., saucier, garde manger, pastry) by rotating through different roles.
Helping unpack deliveries, checking use-by dates, and managing stock rotation to prevent waste.
Tidying workstations, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
Absorbing techniques through observation, asking questions, and developing foundational culinary skills.
Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:
Preferred Language of Resume/Application: English.
1-2 years minimum experience.
Average level in English.
Monthly Salary: 3,300GBP and above, depending on level of experience.
Positive hygiene maintainance and tidying workstations.
Ability to work in teams.
Experience on compliance with food safety standards.
Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations.

The Employee is eligible to receive a semi-annual discretionary bonus of up to a target of 45% of your Base Eligible Earnings as defined in the Company's Bonus Plan. Based on your performance, you can over-achieve your bonus target pursuant to the Company's Bonus Plan.
Employee shall be afforded Health Insurance and Retirement (Pension) Plan in accordance with the prevailing market practice in the United Kingdom and the applicable laws and regulations
In Return:
Employee shall be entitled to up to thirty (30) days of Paid Vacation/Leave (plus Bank Holidays) in any given calendar year provided that Employee remains a full time employee during such period of time. If Employee’s employment falls short of twelve months in any given calendar year, Employee’s entitlement to thirty (30) days of paid vacation/leave shall be reduced on a pro rata basis. Employee shall be eligible to accrue paid vacation/paid time off in accordance with the company's paid vacation/paid time off policy, as it may be amended from time to time, and at the rate equal to other similarly situated employees.
