About the Role

A growing utility construction company in Columbus, OH is seeking detail-oriented CAD Drafters to assist with the development of aerial and underground utility designs for ongoing fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Will teach, but must learn to read and interpret engineering blueprints, utility conduit plans, and construction schematics

This position is part of their engineering design team and works under moderate supervision to transform survey data and field notes into AutoCAD-based construction drawings.

Translating field notes to develop and update conduit/ cable engineering design drawings in AutoCAD.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong time management, organization, and independent research skills

Effective verbal and written communication

Willingness to learn, and ability to work independently

1+ years of experience working with AutoCAD

Compensation

Starting Wage: $20–$23 per hour - Rate will depend on relevant experience and technical proficiency.
