For our Engineering & Maintenance, we are looking for a Head of Integrated Facility & Operations Services
The Head of Integrated Facility & Operations Services is a senior leader accountable for the strategic and tactical oversight of the compliance engineering function, facility and integrated services incl. occupancy planning, change control, training management, document management, as well as data and support plus MRO management and planning. This role ensures adherence to industry standards of safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence in support of manufacturing operations. The incumbent drives continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and effective resource allocation, while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Job Purpose
Develop and execute a comprehensive facility strategy aligned with business objectives and global best practices
Support the execution of capital project portfolios, including facilities, utilities, and engineering maintenance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards
Create, maintain and execute on a multi-year site facility strategy, including scope and budget for capital projects
Ensure departments operate in compliance with cGMP, including equipment/facility upkeep
Develop and implement policies and procedures to assure continual compliance with product and operations to current quality, safety, and regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, ISO, etc.)
Oversee programs for integrated service providers and manage key vendors for site utilities (Freezer/HVAC, water, boiler, HEPA, PSM systems) and storeroom/MRO systems
Develop, monitor and report on KPIs and processes to ensure financial milestones, contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and milestone liabilities are managed
Oversee engineering drafting and CAD services
Lead site occupancy planning and space management
Build, influence, and manage relationships and deliverables with integrated service providers, internal stakeholders and collaborate with leaders to avoid and mitigate problems
Drive process improvement initiatives
Foster a culture of continuous improvement through employee selection, training and mentoring
Forecast, develop, track, and review facility renovation/maintenance capital project budgets
Identify opportunities for design, construction, and operating cost improvements
Oversees assigned cost centers, monitors performances, acts on trends and ensures adherence to budgets plus develop budgets for OpEx and headcounts
Ensures financial compliance (i.e. SOx) within area of responsibility
Implement CSL Operating System, Six Sigma, Lean, and other continuous improvement methodologies / drive the adoption of new technologies and/or services
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse, cross-functional team of engineers, maintenance professionals, and quality specialists on site
Your Skills and Experience
Must be a fluent German speaker
BS/BA in Engineering or Science required; MS/MBA preferred
10+ years managerial experience in engineering, maintenance, IFM, facilities, and compliance engineering within manufacturing (biopharma highly preferred)
Significant and demonstrated expertise in GMP/non-GMP compliance engineering, asset data management and integrated facilities services related to pharmaceutical production
Experience managing large multifunctional projects
Track record of several years successful inspection and audit exposure
Experience with regulatory compliance and operational excellence in a global biopharma environment
Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean principles is a plus
Proficiency in selected IT systems (e.g. Trackwise, SAP, FMS, Ariba, DCMS, Veeva, (LMS) Plateau) preferred
