About the Role

The Program Director leads the development, operations, and growth of behavioral health programs within an assigned region — combining clinical leadership, operational management, and strategic planning. The role oversees personnel, finances, and program execution while ensuring full compliance with licensure, payer, and accreditation standards, and serves as HCA's key liaison with referral partners and the broader community.

What You'll Do

Lead and Develop Your Team

Recruit, hire, onboard, and train staff in line with HCA best practices, and ensure personnel files remain organized and compliant

Provide documented clinical and operational supervision; monitor performance and intervene as needed to support growth and accountability

Lead staff meetings and foster a strong, mission-driven team culture

Drive Clinical Excellence and Quality

Provide clinical and risk management oversight in day-to-day operations, including client crises

Ensure clinical documentation and client authorizations (pre-certifications, concurrent reviews, discharges) are complete and submitted on time

Maintain full compliance with state regulatory bodies, payer requirements, and COA standards

Manage Operations and Finances

Assign caseloads and identify regional hiring needs

Develop and manage the regional budget, review monthly financials, and process and approve payroll

Grow the Region

Develop annual strategic and territory plans aligned with regional goals

Build and maintain strong referral source relationships to drive service delivery and regional growth Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.

Must be a fully licensed therapist in the state of Ohio with a LISW, LPCC, or LIMFT.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a community-based setting with children and families, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
