Position Responsibilities: Mainframe System Programmer with DB2 Location: Plano, TX, Columbus OH, Jersey City, NJ (hybrid) W2 Contract Only Must Have Skills: Need SME on DB2. 80% system programming in z/OS environment. 20% DBA work (disaster recovery testing, backups, image copy, maintain system stability). Need someone that can install DB2 on the MF (zOS) from scratch, obtain access for security controls. Need to be really strong with IBM software configurations on MF.

Job Description: Advanced understanding of LOB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices. Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations) Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management) Design (compliance, security) Network Engineering (planning, provision) Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology Advanced understanding of best practices and policies. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms Must be able to assemble technology solutions and effectively define and implement a working architecture Technical certifications as required
