Role Summary
The Senior Server & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the stability, performance, and security of the organization’s core server and infrastructure ecosystem. This role manages on prem, virtual, and cloud environments while ensuring high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and operational excellence across enterprise systems.
You’ll collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and manufacturing operations to support production systems and drive continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations
Administer and optimize Windows & Linux servers (physical, virtual, cloud).
Manage VMware, Hyper V, or equivalent virtualization platforms.
Oversee SAN/NAS and cloud storage environments.
Conduct capacity planning, patching, lifecycle management, and performance tuning.
Cloud & Hybrid Services
Administer Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Security & Resilience
Support identity protection, least privilege access, and system monitoring.
Design and test backup, DR, and business continuity strategies.
Assist with vulnerability remediation and audit support.
Collaboration & Project Work
Contribute to infrastructure design, evaluation, and implementation projects.
Partner with networking, security, application, and support teams.
Support production and manufacturing systems.
Participate in after hours maintenance, upgrades, and critical outage response.

The IT team operates as a service focused, collaborative group supporting all Sumitomo Riko America companies. Strong communication, professionalism, and a hands on approach are essential. This role requires engagement during after hours events impacting production, shipments, upgrades, or maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications
3–5 years in server, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering.
Strong Windows & Linux server administration experience.
Experience with SAN/NAS storage systems.
Proven Azure & Microsoft 365 administration experience.
Background in backup, DR, and high availability environments.
Understanding of infrastructure security best practices.
Ability to document standards and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automation/configuration tools.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.).
Experience in manufacturing environments.
