Job Purpose
The GS1 / Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting supply chain operations through GS1 standards implementation, product data management, barcode management, inventory analysis, and process optimization. The role ensures accurate product identification, traceability, and efficient supply chain workflows across procurement, warehousing, logistics, and retail/healthcare operations.
The candidate will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and external stakeholders to maintain data integrity, improve operational efficiency, and support compliance with GS1 global standards.
Key Responsibilities
GS1 Standards & Product Data Management
Manage and maintain GS1 standards implementation across the organization.
Coordinate barcode creation, validation, and product identification processes.
Ensure proper use of GTIN, GLN, SSCC, and other GS1 identifiers.
Maintain accurate product master data and item attributes.
Support product labeling and barcode compliance activities.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding GS1 compliance requirements.
Supply Chain Analysis
Analyze supply chain performance, inventory levels, and operational KPIs.
Monitor stock movement, replenishment trends, and demand patterns.
Prepare reports and dashboards for procurement, warehouse, and logistics operations.
Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
Support inventory optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
Systems & Reporting
Work with ERP, WMS, and inventory management systems.
Generate periodic operational and analytical reports.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across supply chain systems.
Support system testing, upgrades, and process automation initiatives.
Assist in troubleshooting supply chain and master data issues.
Compliance & Coordination
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement, warehouse, finance, IT, and logistics.
Support audit activities related to inventory and product traceability.
Assist in training users on GS1 standards and supply chain processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
GS1 certification or related training preferred.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supply chain operations, inventory management, or GS1 implementation.
Experience working with ERP/WMS systems.
Experience in retail, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or logistics industries is preferred.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of GS1 standards and barcode systems.
Good understanding of supply chain and inventory processes.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
