Job Summary:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of patients. Ensure high-quality images are obtained while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal structures.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper patient positioning during examinations.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and findings.
Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results for diagnostic purposes.
Adjust equipment settings and techniques to optimize image quality.
Participate in holiday coverage and flexibility required for shift changes as needed.
Qualifications:
Possess a valid certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
Demonstrate proficiency in general ultrasound procedures, including abdominal and pelvic imaging.
Have experience working with ultrasound equipment and imaging software.
Maintain strong communication skills for patient interaction and team coordination.
Exhibit flexibility and willingness to cover shifts on weekends and holidays.
Hold necessary licenses or credentials per state or regulatory requirements.
