Job Description
Job description
With over 70 years in business, we are an established and growing real estate company operating in both construction and property management. We develop and oversee Class A apartment buildings throughout the Los Angeles area. As a small organization, we take pride in our properties, our tenants, and our team. This is a long-term opportunity with real potential for growth and advancement as we continue to expand our operations.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in keeping our buildings running smoothly. You will work directly with the Asset Manager and Property Supervisor, overseeing day-to-day maintenance and minor construction projects, managing vendors, and ensuring our tenants receive the highest level of service.
This is not a purely supervisory role — we are looking for someone who is equally comfortable directing a crew and rolling up their sleeves to get the job done.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily maintenance and minor construction projects across multiple Class A apartment buildings in the Los Angeles area
Oversee minor construction projects at existing properties from scoping through completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and to standard
Schedule, prioritize, and track work orders to ensure timely completion
Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs as needed across building systems and units
Inspect completed work in apartment units and common areas to verify quality and proper technique
Provide administrative support including data entry, document management, and written correspondence
Serve as a point of contact for maintenance emergencies on an as-needed basis
Travel between properties throughout the LA area (reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required). Gas and mileage reimbursement.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance or construction experience — this is a firm requirement
Experience with Class A apartment buildings or similar residential properties strongly preferred
Solid understanding of building systems and proper maintenance techniques
Knowledge of property management practices and fair housing regulations
Strong communication skills — both verbal and written — including the ability to review and draft contracts
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Bilingual — English and Spanish (spoken and written)
Valid California driver's license and reliable vehicle
What We Offer
Competitive compensation
Long-term stability with a company that has stood the test of time
Opportunity for growth and professional development
A supportive, team-oriented work environment
