Location: Ferrell Hospital - Eldorado, Illinois

Position Overview

Serve patients in moments that matter and be a part of the future of health care. Ferrell Hospital is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Medical Director (MD/DO) to join its Emergency Department at a critical access facility in Eldorado, Illinois. This opportunity offers a manageable patient volume, flexible scheduling, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit community.

Patient Volume: 7,000 ED visits annually (25-30 patients per day)

Specialties: Emergency Medicine, imaging, radiology, and behavioral health

Number of Beds: Critical Access Facility

Acuity: Low to moderate

EMR: EPIC

Procedures: Standard emergency medicine procedures

ICU: Critical access level care

Admissions/Transfers: Transfers coordinated as appropriate

Fellowship/Residency: Emergency Medicine residency preferred

Moonlighting: Available

ICP Site: Yes

Tele Coverage: Yes

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Licensure: Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain)

Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine

Experience: Prior ED experience required

Skills & Procedures: Broad emergency medicine skill set appropriate for a critical access setting

Badges: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ability to obtain)

Benefits & Compensation

Physician Pay: $250/hour

Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 for 1 year commitment $40,000 for 2-year commitment
