Responsibilities:

For Transportation Nurse:

Provide healthcare support and assistance to students with special medical needs during school bus transportation, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.

Assess students' health status and administer medications or medical treatments as necessary during transportation.

Communicate effectively with bus drivers, school administrators, and parents to coordinate transportation logistics and address any health-related concerns or emergencies during transit.

Ensure that all necessary medical supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained on school buses to meet students' healthcare needs.

LPN School Nurse Job Requirements:

Licensed Practical Nurse in New York: You must hold a valid and active LPN license in the state of New York.

Current BLS Certification: Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
