Implement product supply strategies aligned with category management to ensure a competitive and efficient supply network.
Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and cost management throughout the product lifecycle.
Ensure quality assurance of components and finished products to meet organizational standards.
Drive Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to optimize cost, improve product design, and enhance manufacturability.

Typical Day or Week in the Role
Typical Task Breakdown
Manage APQP and cost management activities from concept through PPAP approval to ensure delivery of parts meeting quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Packaging, Transportation, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Business teams to align on project milestones.
Utilize Teamcenter and workflow systems to coordinate with Engineering and Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs) for sourcing and supplier selection.
Identify and assign suppliers for buy-level parts, ensuring alignment with sourcing strategies.
Escalate supplier quality issues to SDEs and support immediate containment and corrective actions.
Implement supply strategies that optimize and integrate a high-performing global supply network.
Manage quality feedback loops and ensure lessons learned are communicated and applied across the supplier base.
Lead VAVE initiatives through:
Cost modeling
Design for manufacturability (DFM)
Leveraging supplier innovation and capabilities
Interaction with Team
Frequent collaboration with:
Buyers / Procurement Team
Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs)
Engineering Teams
Quality Teams
Engineering Value Chain Teams
Active participation in cross-functional meetings and supplier reviews to drive alignment and execution.
Work Environment
Combination of office setting and production/manufacturing environment
May involve supplier interactions, shop floor exposure, and cross-site coordination
Key Skills & Competencies (Recommended Add-on)
Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and quality standards
Experience with supply chain processes and supplier management
Proficiency in tools like Teamcenter or similar PLM systems
Analytical skills for cost modeling and VAVE initiatives
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
