Production Support Specialist
This position supports production by providing timely and accurate schedules, job packets, specifications, and reports. The role assists in identifying scheduling issues and inconsistencies while supporting clerical functions such as department transfers, timekeeping corrections, and Kronos system updates.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and distribute daily production schedules and job packets
Review and reconcile production job packets on a daily basis
Monitor and reconcile inventory levels for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging
Enter and retrieve data daily using Ross and Excel systems
Maintain production databases and reports
Process, analyze, and distribute daily and weekly reports within deadlines
Provide support for production transactions, product data, and recipe input
Maintain and update Kronos data for reporting (overtime, lbs., man hours)
Collaborate with schedulers to adjust and distribute schedules as needed
Assist supervisors and serve as a liaison between departments
Spend time in production areas to better understand processes and documentation
File and organize documentation
Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed
Qualifications
Prefer a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or 3–6 months of related experience/training
Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with team members
Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and complete projects
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formatting, printing, basic formulas)
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (email, attachments, communication)
Basic computer skills
Experience with 10-key calculator
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Physical Requirements
Frequent sitting, typing, and communication (34–66% of the time)
Occasional standing, walking, and reaching (0–33% of the time)
