Client: U.S. Secret Service (Department of Homeland Security)

Work Location: Hybrid - 950 H St NW #7800, Washington, DC 20223

Reporting Hours: Eastern Standard Time (EST) Business Hours

Clearance: DoD Top Secret Clearance (Active or held within the last two years)

Travel: None at this time

Geocgi is seeking a Mid-Level Web Developer to support the U.S. Secret Service within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a hybrid environment based in Washington, DC. This role focuses on developing and enhancing enterprise geospatial applications, APIs, and workflows supporting operational and analytical mission requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong application development experience, the ability to support both new and existing solutions, and a collaborative mindset in a fast-paced technical environment.

This position is a Hybrid opportunity with the primary location of performance in Washington DC.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications supporting geospatial and operational workflows.

Develop user interfaces, APIs, and application workflows supporting DHS mission requirements.

Support enhancement, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing geospatial applications and services.

Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Develop scalable and maintainable application components using modern development practices.

Support integration of applications with enterprise systems, databases, and geospatial services.

Participate in testing, debugging, and performance optimization efforts.

Contribute to technical documentation and development standards.

The following are requirements of the Mid-Level Web Developer:

U.S. Citizen and Active U.S. Passport.

DoD Top Secret Clearance (Active or held within the last two years)

Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience, Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geographer, Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience, or 7+ years of equivalent experience

Experience developing enterprise or web-based applications

Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as: C#, Python, JavaScript or other modern development languages.

Experience developing APIs, workflows, and user-facing applications.

Familiarity with application troubleshooting, debugging, and maintenance.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

The following are preferred of the Mid-Level Web Developer:

Experience supporting geospatial or GIS-based applications.

Familiarity with web development frameworks and RESTful APIs.

Experience supporting federal or secure operational environments.

Exposure to relational databases, cloud environments, or DevOps workflows.

Experience supporting enterprise application modernization efforts.

The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $100,000 $120,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
